Japanese
archery uses an archery bow that is longer than usual. The place
at which it is held is 1/3 of the way from the bottom.
The
sport of Japanese archery usually involves striking targets with
arrows. The target is 40 centemeters in diameter and 30 meters away
from the archer. The one who gets the most arrows in the target
wins.
There
are many styles of Japanese archery. The Ogasawara style and Honda
style are most famous. Yabusame is another type of Japanese archery,
one that is performed while riding a horse.
